Cashback Site vs. Coupon Site

Cashback site in India has become as popular as coupon site. Many people get confused about how they work and how they are different from each other. They both work on the idea of affiliate marketing, which helps them earn a commission for every sale they make for any e-Commerce website, like MakeMyTrip, Goibibo, etc. Both sites are quite similar but they function differently.
Cashback Is More Profitable for User
The main difference is the economics and revenue model. A cashback site returns a part or all of the affiliate commission to the user as cashback, while a coupon site usually keeps all that commission for themselves. Suppose you buy a pair of socks from a kids online shopping site and you opt for a cashback from a cashback site for the same product, so you will receive the whole affiliate commission from the site, which is more attractive for you as a user even if the model is less profitable for the cashback site owner. Compared to that case, the coupon site owners make more profit.
Coupon Is More Easier for User
Cashback technology is again more complicated than the coupon technology. A cashback site needs to prepare full accountability for which the user has to create an account as he/she would get a cashback after every sale; this needs more steps and the cashback also takes almost a month to get credited. While coupon site needs no such steps, it is an instant process. Suppose, you visit an electronics online shopping site like eBay and order any item for which you get a coupon code on applying which you get an instant discount when you purchase the product.
